I started my career in 1986 as a sheet metal worker, welder & fabricator. This is a career path I followed for approximately 2 years before becoming a general engineer using conventional lathes and mills working for the same company. During my time as a sheet metal worker I was lucky enough to work with, and be trained by some very skilled people, who taught me the finer points of “tin bashing”. I will attempt to pass on some of what I learnt in the pages that follow.

TIG electrodes
